Privacy
This page explains what GPLWP Guides collects. It is short because the site does very little.
What we collect
There are no accounts, no newsletter and no comments. We do not ask you for your name or email address, and there is nothing here to sign up for.
Our web server keeps standard access logs — your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string. They exist to keep the site running and secure, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Cookies
The site sets no tracking cookies for ordinary visitors. WordPress sets cookies for people who log in to administer the site.
When you click a tool link
Links to recommended tools take you to WorldPressIT, a separate company with its own privacy policy and cookies. Once you follow that link their terms apply, not ours. We can see that a click happened; we cannot see what you do afterwards. Our commercial relationship with that destination is set out on our disclosure page.
Sources we link to
Guides cite external documentation. Following those links is a normal web request to those sites, which will see your IP address as they would if you visited them directly.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data beyond server logs, there is generally nothing to export or erase. If you believe otherwise, ask via our contact page.
Changes
If this site ever starts collecting more than it does today, this page will say so before that happens.
